Right now I just want to flop onto a gurney and yell, "Take me to the hospital. I'm sick!" Well, that's what Tom Hanks did in The 'Burbs. I get sick a lot, and this is one of those times. We're in the middle of a big snowstorm right now--it just keeps dumping snow every day. My throat is dry, sore, and tight. So somebody, please take me to the hospital because I'm sick. I want to drive to the store to buy Simply Orange orange juice and cough drops, but with the snow and faulty brakes, I will have to suffer through this!
Bad news! Both my watch and my iPod died this week. Ok, so I just played with my iPod and now it works. It will stop working soon, though, I'm afraid. Anyway, I listen to my iPod absolutely every day walking up to campus and walking home, in the car, and plugged into the speakers in our living room. I look at my watch probably 20 times an hour. I've felt very naked and alone these past couple of days--this is surely an overexaggeration. Anyway, maybe these things dying combined with my sickness are just foreshadowing my future . . .
Maybe not. Anyway, I watched Hotel Rwanda for the first time last night in anticipation for the campus forum we had today. Paul Rusesabagina, the main character in Hotel Rwanda, spoke to us for 40 minutes--the actual man, not the actor. I can't believe that genocide and wars are present in our current societies today. Paul told us about Rwanda, and my main takeaway from the forum was that we need to stand up; if we want the world to be a better place, we need to stand up and "be the change [we] wish to see in the world," as Gandhi so eloquently put it. Rusesabagina spoke to all of us, especially the student generation, and said that the future is up to us. If we want the world to be a better place, we can stand up and make it better. If we want it to be the same, we must live on like we've been living.

Cute new background. It's a lot easier to read your text now. Soooo I hate the snow. A lot. I think that Hotel Rwanda guy came to USU a few years ago. I gotta say...BOOOORIIIING. Sorry. I guess I'm not educated enough or sympathetic enough or something.
Hahaha yeah, you've got a thing or two to learn. Just kidding.
sorry kates! if i could put the oj in the mail, i'd ship it to you!! feel better soon!
I'm sorry you don't feel good. I heard that Rusesabagina would be speaking at the Y - how cool!
I bet you'd fit into little girl shoes too. I bought 4 1/2s and they go up to 6! I thought I'd try the biggest size and hope to fit in them, but I was like, "Whoa, they're huge." And I laugh pretty much through the whole video too haha. I'm a huuuuge dork.
You'd fit into the 6s for sure. But I bet they'd be too wide for ya anyway. But keep an eye out for girls' shoes at Tarjay!
oh oh oh! I bought some little girl soccer shoes- they are pumas and they are CUTE! I think I got a 6 in the little girls section, because with socks and shin guards I needed the extra room- or at least that is my excuse for buying the biggest size little girls shoes come in. :) I like them a lot. I don't even know what you and Kari were talking about, but I support buying lil girlie shoes.
On another note, I totally said I would go to the store and buy you OJ. You said no. Now I feel bad. :(
